This weekend marks the tail end of a nation-wide campaign headed by NHTSA called, “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”  The seventeen-day campaign focuses over 10,000 law enforcement agencies on apprehending DUI drivers. The campaign has been called an “intensive crackdown” on impaired driving, and should yield thousands of DUI arrests nationwide.

The San Diego Sheriff’s department and San Diego Police are among the 10,000 agencies supporting the campaign.  The Sheriff’s department plans to host at least eight DUI checkpoints along with roving patrols during the seventeen-day period.  For information on DUI checkpoint times and locations, be sure to follow us on Twitter at TheDUIChampion or Facebook at Law Offices of Cassandra Hearn.
